French Formula One Grand Prix

Race Date: 24th June 2020

The French Grand Prix will be staged at the Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet, close to Marseille and Aix-en-Provence. The circuit last hosted a round of the F1 French Grand Prix in 1990.

For the Grand Prix weekend you will be based in the beautiful city of Aix-en-Provence, ideally situated just 30 minutes from Marseille.  You can travel to Marseille by air or Eurostar, and around it is one hours journey time to the Circuit Paul Ricard at Le Castellet.

Aix is the birthplace of Cezanne, the reason many artists have been drawn here over the years, giving you an idea of the rich colours and landscapes which affords Provence.  With the Rhone Valley and Cote-de-Provence vineyards on its doorstep there is also the opportunity to enjoy a spot of wine tasting too. Below is a suggested itinerary, however we are very happy to work with you to design a bespoke programme around your preferences.

Suggested Itinerary 

Friday 22 June
You will depart from Stansted in the morning and arrive into Marseille before midday.  You will be met and transferred to your hotel in Aix-en-Provence where accommodation is reserved for 3 nights on a bed and breakfast basis. A local guide will be on hand throughout your weekend to assist and accompany you on the circuit transfers.

If you wish to get to the track on Friday to view the practice sessions there is an optional return transfer of £30 per person.

Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 June
The tour includes a coach transfer to the Circuit. You depart just after breakfast in order to watch practice, qualifying and the Grand Prix, and you will be returned to your hotel at the end of the days events.

Monday 25 June
Morning at leisure until your transfer to Marseille Airport for your afternoon return flight to Stansted.

Accommodation: Hotel Saint Chritophe
With a fabulous location in the centre of Aix-en-Provence this art deco style hotel is just a few minutes walk to the old town. The hotel features a bar and brasserie with outdoor terrace. All rooms have air-conditioning and flat screen TV with complimentary WiFI.
