Race day: 24th May 2020
What better way to take in the Monaco Grand Prix than a 5-night cruise on Azamara Journey to visit some of the most glamorous destinations in the Mediterranean? Depart Barcelona and spend two days enjoying the charms of Marseille and Saint-Tropez before arriving in Monte Carlo on Sunday morning to watch the 78th rendition of the world’s most iconic race.
For the Grand Prix itself, VIP hospitality has been reserved in our Ermanno 7th Floor Suite. Free flowing Champagne and gourmet hospitality comes as standard, and with 70% panoramic views of the circuit you won’t miss a moment of the action!
Day 1: Thursday 21 May
Arrive in Barcelona (please advise flight times when confirmed). You will be met on arrival and transferred by Mercedes to Barcelona Port where you will embark on Azamara Journey. A Club Ocean View Stateroom has been reserved (cabin upgrades are available please see supplements). The cruise includes all meals, a selection of spirits, international beers and wines, onboard entertainment and gratuities. Depart Barcelona at 5pm.
Day 2: Friday 22 May
Arrive Marseille at 8:30am. 2,600 years of history come to life in the magnificent port of Marseille. The Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée is filled with insight on the culture of this wonderful region and is well worth a visit. From here, explore La Panier for gifts and souvenirs. Cap off your day with a glass of pastis -an alcoholic beverage that is a local favourite! Depart at 10pm.
Day 3: Saturday 23 May
Arrive Saint-Tropez at 8am. Take a stroll along the harbour or enjoy one of the fabulous beaches. Saint-Tropez is a magnet for the world’s jet set and famous faces are the norm in this ultra-chic resort. For lunch, the old fishing quarter La Ponche has plenty of seafood restaurants serving the day’s freshest catches. Depart at 11pm.
Day 4: Sunday 24 May
Arrive Monte Carlo at 7am. This morning tender ashore for the 2020 Monaco Grand Prix. Please Note: Monaco harbour is closed during race weekend and you will be tendered to Fontvieille harbour. From here it is a 15 to 20-minute walk to our Ermanno Palace Hospitality facility.

From the 7th floor balcony suite, guests enjoy a panoramic view of 70% of the circuit, including the start-finish straight, all the action on turn 1, Beau Rivage plus everything from the tunnel exit through to La Rascasse. Day 5: Monday 25 May
Today is at sea. Arrive Barcelona at 6pm. Barcelona is a cosmopolitan masterpiece with a history rich in art. Medieval, Gothic, and modern influences can be seen all over the city. Start at the waterfront and stroll up the shady, tree-lined Las Ramblas to discover some of the city’s best shopping and bustling restaurants.
Day 6: Tuesday 26 May
Disembarkation takes place from 9am. A chauffeur driven Mercedes will be waiting at the port to transfer you back to Barcelona Airport.
The cruise board basis is almost all inclusive. All meals are included. There is the option of two speciality restaurants which guests can pay a small cover charge for. Most drinks are complimentary and there’s also a range of premium drinks for which there is a charge.
